Workshops and Labs
Workshops and labs are strictly "hands on" events with attendees sitting in front of computers and learning by doing.
Workshops are half-day events, labs are 90 minute events. Both require considerable preparation. Past experience has shown that a high quality workshop requires about three days of preparation for each hour of presentation time. As part of this preparation you will be expected to develop material for attendees to take away with them, such as handouts, a 'workbook', CDROM, etc.
After your abstract is accepted, please fill in a document based on one of the following workshop submission templates, and submit it as part of the next step in the proposal submission workflow.
- Gavin Fleming, Mintek
- Graeme McFerren, CSIR - Meraka Institute
- Jeff McKenna, Gateway Geomatics
- Burnie Nawn, InfoQuest Business Solutions, South Africa

Posters will be selected from the abstract submissions. Please ensure that you select the poster track on submission of your abstract.
